i cant really place it any higher cuz its arcanium hasnt been fixed and its kinda outclassed by fire imo

I will say I do run a lightning glass mage and its definetly better than fire on that bio

Ok, my turn:

PEAKsma

PLASMA, no questions asked. Good colors; practically the best status in the game, good for every magic build because of its synergies.

Scorched works with All weapons + turns to steamed on SSword (which is pratically fire but unclearable; Patrimony gives 8.75% dmg boost to plasma without removing the effect; Every FS works with Plasma, thermo/Ileg/ and Cannon(bleed) gets dmg boost, Sailor turns to steam, Powder will likely work with Plasma too, leaving Basic/Boxing/Vanish.

Did I also mention Plasma’s great stats? Plasma is a Fast magic (1.25) AND it has 1x size, which is insane considering it almost always hits for 25% extra damage (3 seconds is so fast that most cant clear it). Plasma even has good armor stats (Power/Intensity) and clears a bunch of annoying statuses, notably Bleeding.

Its also one of the few magics that can trigger a secondary reaction, Charred, which is always a bonus. AND it also has good clashes, mostly losing to solid magics and some others thrown in there to try and balance plasma; but its the only magic with a cool clash with a lost magic, its Black and White clash effect with Aether magic clearly shows Plasma is on another level; speaking of clashes, it basically neuters poison because its one of the few magics that overide poison clouds.

Plasma’s only downside is it prevents you from swimming, but this is clearly because Vetex seen how powerful it was and needed some disadvantage to it.

Anyways, S tier -

Crystal is a VERY good magic, it works well and does nicely on every magic sub-build. Its armor-stats are fine, but could be better; and the magics stats are great too. Crystalized is the most unique status we got though so its very strong when you land it, also im pretty sure no other magic can clear its status by charging. As for clashing, Crystal is a beast, wins against everything except Earth, Explosion, Lighting, Magma, and Metal. Crystal also has good dmg bonuses including bleed, which allows it to work with Conj. No water synergy for SSword, but its carried by its status so its doesnt even matter. Oh, it also works well for Cannon Fist because its the only status that gives it a flat dmg bonus which is neat. As for Paladin, Lighting gains a bonus from hitting crystalized targets, so another W for Crystal.

Fire is Orange Plasma. Slightly bigger, bit slower, slightly stronger. its got a good DoT, and its arcanium is pure Power, which is nice. it can do what plasma can except for for Paladin cuz no lightning synergy. As a heat magic, it basically auto works for Conj and Warlock because they ALWAYS have bleed synergy and the steamed imbue which is pretty much burning but cloud. I put Plasma at peak, so its brother desrves it spot here.

Metal. WHO DESIGNED THIS!? WHY DOES IT WIN every DAMN CLASS BESIDES ONE!? WHY IS ITS DAMAGE SO HIGH!? “oh but its slow”. DO YOU THINK THAT SPEED MATTERS??? THIS MAGIC IS SO LUDICROUSLY LARGE THAT IT HITS YOU ANYWAYS. oh, and to throw the extra towel in there, it applies bleed easier than earth while it already deals more damage, just because. I’ve genuienly hated EVERY metal user encounter I’ve had. fuck this magic. its synergies are shit, but that doesnt matter, it just deals enough damage to ignore them. I swear if it did have synergies this game would’ve burned to the ground in more complaints. If you play metal and use a Sandy/Corroding/Melting Gel screw you; was it THAT hard to live with one weakness?

Dont let people know this, But Earth is actually better for Magic hybrids becuase although weaker; it has better size and speed + it has a bleed synergy- I thank christ that people forget earth exists because if we didnt I’m certain we’d also complain about this magic. Earth but actually devious. Please keep this magic unpopular and never let it see the light of day.

A Tier

Acid Magic is pretty solid. Good status that works with bleed, good clears on charging, Decent clashes, and good stats. But ist Armor stats are fucking AP which is the worst thing to be granted lmao. Status is pretty hard to clear, only being cleared by Ice, Magma, Water, and Snow (charging). Doesnt work well with Sailor.

Sand is goated. Theres a reason we all knew Sand Paladin was valid (besides it being the only Paladin that worked). Good damage, good size, decent speed. It gets lobotomized during clashes, and its status is a blind so no free dmg. But its status works well with a lot of things; bleed synergy helps for Conj; Paladin is carried by its Lightning Synergy; Warlock is alright, but Sailor and Thermo hate sand apparently. Armor stat is Attack size and Def so thats cool too.

Lightning, if I put this Mahic any lower then I’ve basically opted to be assassinated by 30% of the people playig this game + Vetex. Anyways, its like Plasma but faster (which to be fair is realistic). Its status is much worse though, and it almost never applies it by itself. its synergies are good, which has it work for most builds, excluding Paladin because Paladin already has that synergy. Wish they gave this magic an actual status though. And the order of best color is Yellow/Cyan/Purple btw.

Glass is underated imo. Its a good magic because most things work with bleed and its guaranteed to proc it. obviously it sucks at clashing because its a piece of glass, and its armor stats have less defense but more power. Its a cool magic tho, and works for all the Magic builds. Conj works with bleed, and although kinda redundant, its still cool; Warlock can synergize pretty well with Bleed; Paladin gets crazy with bleed, 25% damage always gets applied because of the imbue.

Explosion big. Charred good when synergy. If you need size, 100% go for explosion, works well for most classes besides Paladin. Bleed synergy for Conj, Steam cuz of Heat magic; Warlock gets Thermo buffs, Steamed for Sailor, and bleed synergies; Mages can easily use Petrified. Paladin gets screwed over, but its a fine price to trade because Explosion Paladin looks awesome.

Ice is one of my favorite elements! This magic is also kinda cracked, 25% bleed synergy is awesome, plus this magic has high power. Imo, this magic is bind busted, thank god it has a catalyst status instead of something useful. Anyways, good on Conj for bleed and frozen SSword; Ice sailor is a menace, and bleeding versions are also getting fed, no thermo tho; Paladin cant use. 10/10 Magic, shame it has wacky arcaniums and no dmg/blind status.

Magma. Its awesome, cool status, big puddles. Its the only magic that beats metal in a clash so if you’re pissed at metal users you can do this. Good dmg and size, arcanium is also good (Power/Size). The status is bonkers and works with every class very nicely. Heat magic = Bleed syngery + steamed. AND this magic gives Ileg/Thermo a damage boost too. Paladin gets a lightning synergy, Mage gets acess to the whole aresenal. Pretty great magic, melted is an eh status so no S tier, but this magic is still great. Top canidate for S tier.

B Tier

Shadow, jack of all trades, master of none. Literally a black stat stick. Vould’ve been so much better, RIP shadow. No synergies, status is mid because its not even a complete blind, and its only redeeming quality is that it has good stats, okay Armor stats (power/speed), and its redeeming quality: good imbue stats; which doesnt really matter for Paladin or Mage (at least right now). For Conj and Warlock, the stat stick is fine, but you could actually be getting bonuses and have good clash rates from a different magic… like Plasma.

Wood is basically glass but not as weak. It applies bleed less often and has even better synergies with heat magics. Not much else to say.

Ash is really just black poison. Cant swim with it; no actual status because Low damage stat will practically prevent you from doing the ~367(and likely more) damage needed to apply the status; Its status lasts for a second anyways. At most, it has better speed and size + arcanium gives size and power. Its also good for Warlock cuz it gives steamed on sailor and it has bleed synergy. As a bonus, its clouds cant be stolen like poisons can. And when I say worse, that includes its laggy as clouds which can be funny. Overall, cool looking, but kinda ehh, its still pretty good though, and works well on Mage/Warlock/Conj, no lighting synergy so Screw paladin.

If you love Statuses, go Poison. Its just damn annoying every time. Status practty cant be cleared and lasts for 20 seconds. Increases bleed dmg so conjurers go wild. Defacto cover the screen and kill build. Hard countered by Plasma and Fire, but wind straight up kills this magic. Size / AP arcanium :face_vomiting: but its more size so fair ig. Good for Conj, Heat mage works well, Warlock and Pal kinda gotta thug it out though, Warlock only gets spaired by Thermo and Bleed buff if you proc either. Really good at its job, and if you’ve got poor people you can massacre them IRL with frame drops.

The bane of all night-time players existance: Light magic. Fast but tiny, tiny self stack. This blind carries the magic, It feels REALLY bad when you get caught with it because it does full cover, and this magic is practically point and click. one synergy with crystal, so thats cool ig.

C - rappy Tier

Wind. its been butchered so many times. Now, even its knockback size gimick is being stolen from it. We all know that this magic suffers the most. Gimmick mains rise up, Wind Desrves better. Doesnt work well with most stat builds, but has very good utility, working to clear most status effects. and that knockback actually screws peoples aim pretty well. Its stats are also pretty high like shadow, and to be Fair, this DOES have a few statuses it can use. Triasta conj and Powder Warlock (if it applies Charred) will be good trust. I put it below shadow because it can mess up Warlocks CqC style because of Knockback.

Water is Wet. But as a Plasma user screw the sea. anyways this element works on its size and easy status. Pathetic 5% bleed synergy; SSword inflicts the same stauts, so Conj is probably a no-no. same story for for Warlock, where Sailor does the same status, but thermo becomes steamed (i think). Its shine comes from Mage and Paladin; This thing is the sources for two reactions, freezing and Paralyze. Paladin can trigger that Paralyze easily, and Mage gets acess to both. Kinda mid as a main, good 2nd magic for mages. it only works for 2 classes, and like the other magic in this tier, its mostly utility.

Desolate Tier

Snow magic. Its just ice but worse. Nobody should be using this when Ice is cooler. Its status is SOO much worse, despite being a blind. gives 0 useful skills to any class but SSword Conj and Mages. Arcanium being decent is its onlu saving grace. I unironically think this might be the WORST magic in the game from a factual point:

It ONLY works for SSword Conj, because this magic has no bleed synergy. Warlock NEEDS to run sailor for it to do anything, but you lose the freeze; It limits mage-ing to JUST water, ice, or wind. and 0 benefits for Paladin.

How on EARTH, does a magic fail to work for almost every build option?

Tierlist over, anyways, I think people are putting too many of their opinions on the Magic into the Tierlist (like i did for Plasma, but its Plasma so its ok). just because shadow is boring, doesnt make it bad. Tbh, most magics are actually pretty good, which is why most are between S-B tier, honestly, I’d say the Tier difference is still very minimal, and rating them solo is basically unfeasible because of how the game works.

BTW, this assumes the magic is your main first magic. unordered list. AO is pretty balanced, so honestly most people are exaggerating Tier lists, most magics are fine as a main, and will probably get compensations later.
