I usually have no time to do tutorials so that I can improve. However, tonight I was able to do some crappy, quick practices.
Taking poses from dance choreo is also a really fun way to practice poses!
Looks great, though!
Annie best girl (but also Mikasaaa)
Yeah those references are good
yeye, fighting refs are very challenging and fun. I specifically enjoy Muay Thai and Taekwondo, as they’re striking sports that have lots of leg in them (Muay Thai is more with knees and elbows, but still looks really cool).
Filipino Stick Fighting might also be worth looking into depending on your weapons, but I think Kendo(?) does some weapon work too?
Krav Maga is your “most practical” and isn’t for sport, but Judo also looks good with two subjects. I personally wouldn’t attempt Jiu-Jitsu or any grappling sports since they’re harder to depict and make look good unless you want to do an arm lock/choke.
And ofc dancing is full of poses that work great, though certain styles fit poses better (i.e. krumping vs ballet)
Capoeira and Kung Fu are also cool from what I’ve seen (extremely limited). KF seems more flow-y, but Capoeira is very dance-related apparently.
take all this with a hefty spoonful of salt, as I don't practice any of these martial arts/dance styles
I heard of all of those, thank you–I’ll look more into them though when I have time
Best style is drunken style
i need to practice my anatomy as of rn my anatomy is not good (especially torsos i cant do them well).
you made some really interesting fighting poses
Thank you! When I do have time, I try to find videos on YouTube for anatomy
