from an interview with tech but this might no longer be canon because im pretty sure the current lore doc was revised more recently, if thats the case yeah you’d be right

A. That’s tech not vetex

B. That’s heavily decanonized

If we want to get into lore that old, Freedrock low diffs cursebeard (would contradict current lore)

yea ig vetex should probably get to compiling what isnt canon anymore

Speaking of lore that old, that was also before Time Curse was decanonized, Sond could probably kill Morrock

fair, just skimmed through and its wom era, yea definitely not canon anymore, though its odd that prometheus would make these without safe-locks that would ensure the person who obtained a grand fire curse would actually kill cursebeard

Also Freedrock is gonna show up in AO in some form and I’m gonna bet he’s still at least marginally stronger than Cursebeard (Vetex said any mention of Freedrock was spoilers)

would be cool if freedrock appeared with the peacekeeper, potentially connecting the order to hades or sum

Vetex already said we ain’t meeting Peacekeeper tho and there’s no reason for them to be together since they split after Freedrock taught them mutation

all of this discussion just makes me think that there should probably be a forum effort to make some platform to store all still canon lore

literally impossible considering vetex can basically change anything that hasn’t already appeared in AO if he feels like it - even AA’s story and lore is subject to change. I mean look, if/when AA’s story ever gets turned into a book then mutations probably won’t even be a thing

so yeah I’ve given up trying to keep track of still-canon lore outside of AO and maybe the lore doc :joy:

agh the pain of constant inconsistency :face_exhaling:

its impossible to keep up with

ARAGHALBHALKRHABHLARHLAHBKHREARHLHKB

i wouldn’t blame him keeping a single system in the future, managing the different ways magics work around the arcane world as it is with the seven seas (mutations!!?) and the war seas (lost magics??!?) just sounds like a nightmare especially with more things like spirit energy on creation’s side being brought to light

(just speaking from my experience trying to lasso everything as best i can in the webcomic which im worried has become just as much as a mess)

but hey at least curses are consistent :DDDD as for the forum topic, randal is definitely high on my list, the effects of the growth curse with his body and his own existence with the myriad is unique compared to most other curse users

Yeah, and Ive noticed its really hard to differentiate the two systems of AO and AA. Like, we know AO’s magic was supposed to be more advanced than AA, but we dont really know the difference aside from just “Ooh, circles!” and mutations. Vetex would have to map those out too, so yeah.

I admit tho, I kinda prefer the mutations system from a narrative standpoint as it does better represent the growth or evolution of a character than just some fancy, random scroll they find, as magic is also representative of their personality and character. Tho, AO’s scroll system is better from a gameplay pov I guess?

But yeah, its probs easier and more consistent to just keep one system.

i mean having several different but related magic systems across the world makes sense, each cluster has been mostly isolated from each other for 800 years, its very likely different people would use magic in a different way.

though i do understand the point that having all these systems would be annoying and frustrating to manage into one cohesive lore

Who’s gonna tell him…

Hello chatters I’m here to inform the fools of this thread that techlevel80 himself stated that Morock could possibly win against Cursebeard in a fight which places him on relatively equal ground with him. Vetex has also stated Cursebeard is the strongest character.
To the guy who said that it’s techlevel and not vetex tech has been cowriting the lore for a while now so I think he knows what he’s talking about.

when did tech say that? vetex said kinda recently not to take anything that was said years ago to be canon
