Bruh if you wanna be left alone then say so. Some people like fishing with others because it’s otherwise boring to them. Plus, being social while fishing is nice.

Talking to people – while fishing? FRIENDLINESS – WHILE FISHING? You people utterly disgust me and it shows that you people never once seen the great Bass Pro Shop Pyramid even once in your lives. The only friends I have is the great Calypso and her many creatures of which for me to catch.
i personally don’t like it too much either just bc it always gets me on edge; people try to kill you for some pretty dumb reasons sometimes, especially randoms. i’d just rather grind then stop n talk if thats what i was there for
personally i’m trying to multitask and the sound of the bobber is the only thing that notifies me when there’s a catch, so it’s a bit annoying with extra people around

Just say that you want to fish alone and they’ll probably go elsewhere. I don’t really think people fish next to others to purposefully annoy them, but rather because while you may be watching a movie, they just want to fish, talk, and vibe in general. Fishing on its own is of course boring, so there isn’t much else for people to do. In this case, just tell them that you want to be left alone and they will go. It sounds like you might be too nervous to say that to them(?) because you just run away, but I’m sure like 95% of people will understand why and just leave you alone. They’re just a stranger to you on a lego game, it’s really nothing personal.
I take it seriously, I take it as serious as I possibly can with fishing. In fact, while fishing in game I make sure to get my lucky fisherman’s hat while gaming. I need to be the ultimate fisher, and I cannot have plebs ruining my plans.

Probably not. I remember I stood next to this guy fishing and I was about to say “Hey,” but then immediately he equipped 2 daggers then said “THAT’S IT!!!” and he sliced me to death so quickly and ruthlessly I might as well been one big giant fruit in fruit ninja. Now that I think of it maybe that’s the same person…
