Warlock Rare Technique (200 magic/200 strength; so not for now)
You focus your 1st magic or imbued magic around your arm and spin it like a drill/spear, and lunge towards your enemy.
This could be 1 of two things:
It’s a drill attack that upon hitting an enemy will stun them for a period of time as you tear away at them before you form a fist and punch them away with an explosion.
You jab your hand into the targets abdomen or chest before unleashing your magic based attack point blank through their body, causing significant internal damage. This is then followed up by you grabbing them by the face/collar and slamming them towards the ground (or throwing them behind you).
This would be an interesting way of combining the Trello injury mechanic
That only seems to be part of i t though, I wanna see the original set of posts. Although I guess I can search the recent posts from Vetex since he doesn’t post much…
Maybe a spell with loose homing that can either target one entity or a group (in the spell options, so you’d have to have different variants if you wanted to use both applications in the same situation)
Not sure how’d it work but I’d love to see a spell that’s basically full counter from sds called stockpile which would be basically a better counter like spell. The idea is instead of pressing g to parry or block you’d press the key the spells assigned to, to build up energy parrying attacks grant more energy compared to blocking so you’ll need to try to do that instead before firing off a powerful counterattack
a spell that’s like a blast that deals low impact damage but sticks to whatever it hits to leech magic energy from the environment to grow and then finally explode would be cool
if it hits a person maybe it could drain their energy too
This kinda sounds like how Vetex is planning to rework Impact Fist.
Pretty much his idea was to make the player absorb damage, and then be able to dish it back out. Although this isn’t necessarily 1:1 like the idea of a full counter since full counter pretty much negates the damage from the attack (it might even amplify it back).
i imagine ones that have a status effect that’s good to constantly reapply like light or dots would find it less useful, it’d probably be best for slow magics with high damage i think or ones that can stun to keep opponents in the area around it
If it’s draining their energy then maybe instead of having it deal damage or be useful to damage focused magics we do this…
Damage affects the total capacity for it to drain
Speed affects the duration in which it can do this
Light would have a low capacity but fast drain speed
Metal would be the opposite and have a high capacity and slow drain speed
This is all of course before it goes and explodes on the target.
Actually I need to check if I could pull that off with javelin in pvp
Since mages have been getting some love I’d like to see a technique that’s basically a devastating palm strike to the gut that briefly stuns the opponent
