Right now. Nebula seems too underworked and is kinda boring. For such a stat amount it requires it’s a really bad spell. So here’s my suggestion about how Nebula may be reworked.
Nebula Spell:
Description
*Charge yourself with magic energy which bursts out and creates a strong magic force around the user. *
Mechanics:
Instead of being a Self-Pulsar, Nebula now has a different action:
When casted, Nebula first bursts out powerfully, dealing a lot of damage, and then starts bursting out like normal Nebula does with lower damage. However, Nebula now has a fast tick damage like Surge does along with the bursts. Around the user there’s two magic orbs rotating around him. Those orbs will shoot small magic blasts at nearby enemies, dealing low damage. Those orbs also deflect enemy projectiles, when they are coming close to the nebula of the user, those orbs will shoot out a continuous magic Beam at the projectiles and deflecting them back.
Every time Nebula bursts out it also deflects projectiles.
Once the Nebula ends, those two orbs will scatter into 5 smaller orbs each (10 in total) and follow nearby enemies. A big burst of Magic energy also happens, dealing damage
I am not really judging actually. The thing which gave me a reason to make this suggestion are people who still complained about how Nebula seems bad and stuff, but yeah, we gotta wait till the spell actually comes out
bro Nebula is just Bursting Aura which was so broken it was removed from the damn game. It’s going to be too strong on release and nerfed into the ground, I can almost guarantee it
I think Nebula should work like an aura of stink where it slowly kills whoever is around it rather than doing damage in bursts. It might even be irl lore accurate for some players.
arent rare spell supposed to be a bit boring? leave the more advanced stuff to lost and ancient spells.
currently nebula hasnt even released and you’re offering a rework. wait until a spell releases and then rate it. as nebula is a rare spell, it isnt going to be flashy or anything like that. projectile reflection is also probably stupidly op, you could just pop this rework ability to not get hit at all.
stuff is boring because more interesting stuff is usually harder to balance (a spell with 8 different features is way worse to balance than a spell with only 2); also, the only other projectile block we’ve got is Spirit Wall, yet this ability is an automatic defense on a mostly ranged class, horrid design option imo, Balance team would eat you alive.
