I think the Fishing channel and the Exploring channel could merge together, and maybe move the trading channel to game discussion.

The fishing channel is by far the least active channel, and it’s also high irrelevant, now that we already know most of the fish species and are already just macro-ing the heck out of fishing.

The exploring channel is also pretty dead, because unlike PvP or introduce yourself, it’s doesn’t really support renewable content. We’ve already discovered all there is to the map, and new features are easily discovered upon release. Plus, fishing and exploring all categorise under PvE. (When I mean merge, I mean to just delete the fishing channel and let people talk about fishing under the exploring channel).

For the new Trading Discussion channel (thanks for adding!), I feel like it would be better off be a category for game discussion. The marketplace is already the most active category, and most people have it on mute, so they wouldn’t be getting notifications about it. Plus, it’s more of a discussion anyways. Also maybe change the colour of it to a lighter red, because people may mistake it for the marketplace.

#game-discussion:exploring will be revived whenever an update is released. I don’t really think that needs to be changed.

I think the #game-discussion:fishing should be removed. There are barely any fishing topics being created. The few that are created can just go in #game-discussion

Also, it is possible to mute #marketplace without muting #marketplace:trading-discussion, so I don’t really think that is an issue.

The exploring cat will remain because regardless if ur opinion on the matter is that the map was already discussed. the map is only 5% of what it will be in the end. I may move the trading discussion to game discussion. And for fishing, Ill look into it.

Dunno if it’s too late for the threads in the fishing category, but if they still exist somewhere then it’s possible to merge the fishing category into the game discussion one so nothing is lost.

The fishing channel isn’t particularly active, but there were some good threads in there, like the pinned journal guide. Would be a shame to have them deleted.
