Shields take up a tool slot of now
its a weapon slot, not a tool slot, tool slot is for fishing rods and torches and such.
I’m pretty sure it was mentioned on a patch note I can’t really dig for it now bc my wifi doesn’t allow me
shields were never able to be equipped onto tool slots, and i doubt vetex would make it so that an entire weapon would be able to be equipped onto a tool slot which even if it would only be used for blocking would be very op even then.
you might be refering to the fact that shields are now on the tool bar, which includes your weapons, and magics and items you pick up
