fun fact: ice was actually super fucking valuable before refrigeration, since it’s pretty much the only way to keep stuff cold in hot temperatures, and due to some physics stuff ice also melts somewhat slow and only on the outer layer to start, so ice smuggling could make a fuck ton of money if you steal it from an ice selling organization then sell it for less to get more
