has anything been mentioned about shipwright being a profession?
no because professions havenât been worked on at all
oh okay
do you think there should be a profession for shipwrighting tho
while there can, I donât really think there should be professions in the game
why not?
because thereâs l no need for a story where youâre some guy who woke up on a beach with magic to learn a profession when youâre too busy with whatever happens in the story (not to mention getting a LOT of galleons from stuff like chests along the way) to have the conceivable time to learn how to say fix up a ship or get onto hellâs kitchen.
sure, you may learn some of those skills eventually, but if you were in the place of the main character, youâd probably be a lot more focused on whatever the antagonist of the plot is
I mean I could see professions maybe being more endgame if anything but I guess that makes sense
That logic can be applied to
- Expeditions into the dark sea
- bounty hunting
- treasure charts
- ect
that logic applies to everything that doesnât have to do with the main story
ngl itâs just fun to be able to cook
now look, in a narrative, you would read about characters taking a mild break to do those specific things, but you wouldnât really read about a character training for masterchef.
people can have hobbies you know
also its not unreasonable for a character to learn how to feed themself in the wild if their exploring a lot
fair enough I guess
wait a minute hold up what was your old username
we are truly in the endgame of ao
im expecting that progress bar to update real soon.
Itâs the endgame now, Slenderman
my pfp is the batman who laughs
Itâs the endgame now, Slendermna
never changed mine
your probably thinking of someone else
profession is more like learning how to do one thing thoroughly so you can be better
