There might be higher tiers of something functionally similar to gunpowder barrels, like for example arcanium infused gunpowder that adds an extra oomph to your arson activities.

We’ve never seen explosions in any of Arcane games (I think) except for magic, so the visuals should look really cool

Gunpowder barrels seem so random yet I am loving the idea of them. They seem useful for defending an island, just throw a bunch of barrels out around an island to defend it. It won’t be 100% effective but it’d do something depending on how many are out there. First line of defense n whatnot.
