Waiting for him to push back the magic scroll idea snd make the scrolls universal (you can pick any magic with a scroll)
Because the new system is ass

It’s basically just mutations from aa all over again, very few complained then, so I’m sure you’re still in the loud minority now

Edit: it’s also arguably easier to get the magic that you want(granted you pick it at the beginning/when you awaken) because anyone can get a Hecate shard and trade/purchase, rather than finding the specific scroll of the magic you actually wanted

Arcane adventures never released mutations though. Even so, every base magic had a similar amount of mutations, and a decent one at that.
Now we have a billion lightning and fire mutations and practically none for magics like sand, wood, crystal and the such.
Not to mention that, if you’re playing a magic class, a good part of your experience will be locked to a choice you made when you had no idea about mutations, unless you’re able to find an item that has proven time and time again almost impossible to find.
Every magic is supposed to have at least two lost mutations and, judging by how it seems, one ancient.
