It’s an event that was added shortly before release:
i saw it once but wasn’t sure what it did
supposedly one of the clans was “invading the nimbus sea” but I maybe saw one of their ships which could have easily been a random spawn
i dont think you guys are missing much

This is apparently how they are gonna try to counter inflation
I’d be fine if it was only the taxes, though i would have expected it to only be 15%, combined with massive loss of galleons, though ig it isn’t that hard to earn it all back (but now i wanna just shove all my galleons in the bank and never take em out unless i go to the auction)

Also, for us island builders, farm stacking was shadow fixed in 1.20.12 ;–;
So any farmland that was stacked before now only has 2-4 stacks (2 for sugarcane, 4 for wheat, not sure if the stacks still grow)
