Good point. Part of the problem of limb loss is being unable to use items. If it prevents you from using potions, then thatā€™s just another reason why the system as a whole needs a re-work or to be cut completely.

friend was attempting to lose a limb to gunpowder, it isnā€™t working

Try Calvusā€™s triple beam. I can say with certainty that that attack can. Itā€™s tricky, because you need the first beam to hit for 500, then to block the other two (otherwise youā€™ll die).

neither me or my friend have above 1500 HP, which would make gunpowder explosions hit for less than 1/3

good call, i also had the idea to sit on dawn island (since iā€™m sitting on a fairly high fame file and would rather not get ganked, dawn island would give me an escape)

armor breaking is a completely arbitrary mechanic that messes with a lot of vanity setups for basically no actual design reason. the only motivation i can think of is to punish players for wanting to look a certain way which is just stupid. i would be relatively fine with the limb loss if it couldnā€™t be totally ignored by half the builds in the game or by putting on 2014 roblox packages

well in that case the game is

  1. punishing me based on my cosmetic choices
  2. not punishing every build the same (weapon builds get gutted when theyā€¦ cant use their weapons)

Well Iā€™m more in the ā€œreworkā€ than the removal. I donā€™t think it would be too hard to tell the game ā€œif the player looses his right and then use his left hand insteadā€ and vice versa + it alredy does that with fighting styles

it is in the game as of before this post was even made, and its meant to let players know when theyre doing something they arent prepared for. its a complete non issue and wasting the effort it took to implement isnt worth it just because people complained about it and dont want to use the solutions.

i lost a hand out in the dark seas
it wasnt the one i casted spells with so i was fine but it made me realize that we NEED a pirate hook accessory

I shouldnā€™t have to wear vanity armor if I donā€™t like how it looks just to prevent losing my ability to use ANY WEAPONS

honestly Iā€™m gonna have to agree that there should probably be either a total overhaul or complete removal of the limb loss system

it hasnā€™t been a problem for me so far because Iā€™ve been lucky(???) to have only gotten limb loss notifications after I had already gotten killed by something but I donā€™t want it to possibly become an issue for me since I have 2 Conjurer files

Just had it happen to my conj friend
They lost their right hand and became to be unmable to use anything but polesrm ability
Couldnā€™t even drink a healing potion to fix it

I only wear the arms of calvus armor (I disable torso) and itā€™s drippy as hell

There is a way to do it. Not sure how itā€™s done, but thereā€™s a cybernetics setup in this game called The Cool Zone that works, despite replacing your arms with metal arms.

Honestly, just making the shoulder, arm, and hand immune to it is all we need.
Otherwise, tons of builds get fucked until death.
