I can’t believe I seriously need to make this suggestion…
Damaged and Ruined Armour mechanic has made its way into the game, yay… And, surprisingly, every concern the playerbase had after it was announced in the patchnotes came true, except one. Repair Kits don’t completely invalidate the mechanic - they make it worse for some people. You heard this right - if you use a repair kit on a weaker device, you can lose your entire Dark Sea run on the spot.
Sounds weird? It is. I will explain. Interacting with an item in your inventory in a way that will require reloading the inventory, can sometimes disconnect you, if your device is too weak to handle it. This isn’t the issue with Repair Kits specifically - enchanting via scrolls, socketing jewels and opening sealed chests all can trigger it too.
So, why is this a suggestion, and not a bug report? Well, the whole update consists of fighting enemies, purposely designed to inflict damage on your armour, and you are forced to pop Repair Kits constantly.
Repair Kits can be put in a pouch now. This is what this topic is requesting. Opening a pouch and using the kit from there would bypass most of the loading of your backpack. Just copy and paste what would happen when clicking on a repair kit in the inventory, or just repair a random piece of damaged gear outright without loading anything, like using Soap. Grease removal will still require opening the inventory, however.
I have made a suggestion before, where I completely erased the armour damage mechanic. I still stand on this being the better solution to this failure of a feature, but coding that is far longer, and we need a band-aid fix rn. Putting Repair Kits in a pouch will do for now.
