Restrict PvP toggle discussion or work a compromise

Every single time the PvP toggle is brought up, the discussion devolves into ragebait or either personal attacks, or the same few repetitive arguments (On both sides btw). The decision has been made, it is final, and from my own personal experience at least, all pvp toggle discussion has generally been rather unproductive and entirely in bad faith. Some people might object to this by saying I am reaching very far and am jumping the gun for a roblox game forum and that its natural that a roblox game forum filled with a younger demographic would make/fall for ragebait, but even so I would say that the pros outweigh the cons. I do not believe talking about the pvp toggle in itself would not/should not be a prohibited topic but rather discussing how horrible it is or relentlessly bashing the developers for a decision the overwhelming majority of people support (and a decision that even the pvp toggle haters benefit from) should be something out the window already

Another idea is that the jannies may limit hasty generalization in terms of discussion “All pvpers stink bad” “All pvers do is larp” but i fear doing such a thing would limit broader discussion by accident while trying to limit a minor part of the problem.

I think instead of banning/restricting all PvP toggle discussion, we could reach a compromise which could allow for conversation of anything the forum rules currently allow but tighten mud-flinging restrictions because, and yes again I know this is a roblox forum, but there generally is no reason to discuss certain facets of AO here with examples like this. I’m not saying the forums are toxic, we have a pretty solid community ngl, ESPECIALLY for a roblox one, but it can just be hard to scroll or engage in productive conversation

Please let me know your thoughts and if anything ive said here may apply to other topics too, whether or not you think this would help, if its necessary, etc

Shoulda made this a poll
