You probably said that the real one looks better right? Thats probably because it actually looks like something a human put hard work into compared to the AI one, which just looks so unnatural and so obviously fake. Theyre not even related to the actual game in some cases and you cant even tell whats even happening cause the lazy-ass dev just typed in a prompt to some random AI Image generator which glosses over details instead of an actual human which put time into it, which ends up with this low-quality shit which doesnt ever look good.
At least the real thumbnails are kind of honest about the quality of their game. The AI thumbnails just try to lie to you about what the game actually is. The good thing is that nobody is stupid enough to fall for them, right?

seriously the amount of people who are (knowingly or not) allowing AI to replace the effort of themselves and other people actually makes me feel gross everytime i think about it

you dont need to “make” (heavy quotes) games, you arent being forced to make roblox games. do something you LIKE DOING, something you LIKE MAKING instead of flooding a place with what would otherwise have a lot of games with genuine effort and soul put into them (varying in quality but yk) with AI and soulless cashgrabs

Ok but it’s all unanimously hated. Human art will always be more valuable because humans inherently value human work. A less noble example of this is mined diamonds being more expensive that fake ones, despite being exactly the same. Ai work is perceived as soulless, and can never truly replace a human no matter how close it is. (Using it for shitposts where you can’t be bothered to find an artist is ok though)
the actual genuine danger comes when companies begin replacing human workers with AI in some capacity (a lot of companies have already been doing this with graphic designers and whatnot) and also when people become complacent which is fucking frightening amount of people already
ive met people who mindlessly defend AI even though they clearly know absolutely nothing about it or the actual impact it has on anything
its hard to believe even most people wouldnt naturally value human creations enough to the point that they wouldnt become complacent
