look i know i’ve advocated for less strict changes related to censorship
but half of the stuff i’ve said was satirical, and although i somewhat do wanna teach kids racial slurs in game (for fun, idk), i don’t think that moving in this sort of direction is a good idea.
roblox is and will always be a kid’s game, mainly due to the stigma it’s obtained, but still.
Allowing 17+ content pretty much worsens a lot of the platform’s most alarming existing problems, both of them being Predators, Child Predators, and Predatory Practices in regards to making profit. The former being obvious as to why, and the latter also being somewhat less obvious but still obvious.
Roblox is digging themselves even further into the grave they’ve been digging themselves for the last 7 years. And I doubt it’s getting any better.

Hmm, so what I can understand what theyre trying to do here is that theyre want Roblox to also be more of an online forum where people can meet and interact than a gaming platform here. I mean, people interact with each other online all the time, there’s apps for dating or some sh-t. So theyve got this (dumb) mindset of “Hey, if those apps allow dating, why dont we too”? Thats the best way I can understand their mindset for doing this. They dont really see Roblox as a “game” anymore…
But Roblox is forever seen as a gaming platform, and everywhere on the internet, it has a larger appeal to younger children and thus, associated with such. Combined with Roblox’s past records, this isnt going to bode well for a lot of people, and maybe thats an understatement itself. Im not sure if many people will even use this even once they release it but eh
Roblox is like a baby without supervision; it keeps trying to electrocute itself by sticking things into electricity outlets, and nobody can stop them.

So instead of facing the pedo stuff and having a team solely on preventing it, they took the route that uses little to no money and allow more older people to play in a platform dominated by children
But hey, at least now no one can sue roblox when a parent finds out their child became a victim of a pedo because only the parent will be held accountable for letting them play in a platform where old people can play in! Great move roblox

This literally defines what the modern day Roblox corporation is. They wouldn’t spend a few bucks to even keep the classic OOF sound, what makes you think they’d spend anything on something they can just shove under the rug?
