Instead of making a single game that can actually impress sapient-- no, sentient investors with large player counts and long user retention rates Roblox decides to forego paying someone to make a fun, truly engaging game game and hands it off to nameless, never to be known volunteers and tells them to place a model and module into their dead, decrepit and un-savable slop which too will never be recognized in the algorithm. What a joke!

well, i wanted to be positive about this event. this sucks
there is not a single upside about this entire event format
the quests make it impossible for any objective to be fun
every single egg is ai generated
it will take at least 50 hours to finish the entire event
why?? what the fuck is the point of this? they know how to make good events, but this isn’t fun or profitable because of it’s inherent nature. this is likely just a slop tech demo for the new generative ai features, which is even more depressing considering how much of a poison those things are on society

This is the sort of thing we’ll have to learn to accept, really. Capitalism is a double edged sword and has its cons, yet this is still better than goverment funded propaganda slop that’s in socialist countries.

Remember how roblox’s first egg hunt was raining eggs from the sky, this would happen in every game on the site.
I think they’re just going to replicate this sort of thing today. Of course they can’t just make it so every singular game will have this, so they’re likely choosing some experiences that will be best suited for this, but also make the range of games available to be the most popular games so it gives the impression that the event is everywhere, like the original egg hunt
and no of course egg hunts aren’t back. We should know by now that roblox isn’t just gonna give the players what they want. As hilarious as it is to see people go “WE’RE SO BACK!!!” and then immediately lose all hope and faith in Roblox as updates are announced… and repeat, just know it’s still roblox. The Classic was disliked by a lot of people, and that’s because it was just another dev hunt. People only felt hyped by it because it sounded like it was they’d been asking for, and that’s just what Roblox is doing here again, making people think they’re getting something that might be good, only to flip the script and give them something else.
TL;DR: Roblox is baiting, the community is baiting, everyone is baiting. Don’t fall for the bait.
They don’t even put any remote signs of effort in anymore, just make the items, make a map, some stupid bland dark theme and slap metaverse on it then ship it to investors and tell them “look at the amount of games we have for all the people who love our games, just ignore anybody making valid criticism or not liking the big devs farming premium payouts for extra cash!” Garbage corpo slop. Can’t wait for them to make another catastrophe.
Don’t even get me started on “the hunt” 100 games that take ridiculously long sometimes, or just want you to stay in the game for a specific amount of time or are just slop there to glorify it. And all these kiddos will just watch the videos and cry over the most mid-tier items, like bro if you can afford a battlepass, BUY OTHER ITEMS THAT LOOK BETTER
