things have value and you’re gonna be shamed if you’re caught with fake Gucci, let alone produce it.
Not to mention the economy. These are valuable hats that aren’t even just a virtual item anymore, it’s a status symbol. Think the Unusuals from TF2. We don’t want people going on the fast line to get something similar for way cheaper, since the economy revolves around demand. As more copies are made, demand gets lowered and suddenly it ain’t a status symbol anymore.
And most alarmingly, according to the tweets, the worst part of it is that it’s overshadowing smaller creators that actually pump out original things, people who don’t make ripoffs of valuable items and those who don’t put out FnF hats every hour. It in general is making UGC worse than ever, burying original content and replacing it with unoriginal and uninspired garbage, which shouldn’t be the case and goes entirely against the original idea and concept behind UGC.

ugc ripoffs arent the problem the problem is ugc creators taking advantage of the lack of moderation to post garbage
there are actual ugc creators which dont steal trends, game assets, and anime shit and make unique, amazing stuff. they just dont get as much attention
people should mald over that, not that their precious dominus is going to be worth a tiny bit less than usual
