If you are not a parry god you are NOT getting that ring on melee classes
you only need to get it to a little above half, but also yeah, it heavily encourages cheesing, i only got it from doing archer cheese in a wall
balance is really lacking rn, most of my mage skills deal 20-ish damage when I have to deal with:
I upgraded my first skill magic arrow to arrow repeater (something like that, don’t remember the names) and it feels WORSE, now it just does 4 damage a few times and eats way too much mana for that.
From what i understand it was mostly playtesting with bugs found as they played rather than searching avidly (although i joined a week before inintial release so i am not sure how it was before that)
There are lots of reports, but still like memory leak and bigger stuff like that just was not going to get found due to low amount of testers and inactive sweeps.
I’m new but when i got added i had asked what my job (and a few others that joined at the same time) was and it was to get a new players impressions and bugs that occured to me. Before re re release i looked for dupe glitches but found none.

you can get a rebirth sigil for 50 silver which resets all skill upgrades

Thing is if you ignore the thing that doesn’t need to be used and just customize your appearances; press start you get to the tutorial. Only reason it isn’t is because they need to make money some way without p2w, and its common locked so people don’t just make alts (but people see rare and assume better).
Your not supposed to win, it’s supposed to progress the story by you dying and surviving
the item isn’t that good. im getting 8 hp on a 39 damage crit with 500+ hp total with most attacks in the game doing like 11 at least

you can get money fairly easily. once your about level 8 you can get 1 gold in about 20-30 mins (but you won’t be leveling up if you go and try to get money)
why are you trying so hard to defend race gambling.

see voxlblade, this is fine in voxlblade because its:
1: Purely PvE
2: Not gambling
3: reasonably priced
This is a PvP game and its gambling AND its obscenely overpriced.
I don’t care if the benefits or changes are ‘negligable’, they’re still benefits and changes locked behind gambling and that is completely unacceptable.

and as i said, it isnt a good look compared to deepwoken, part of the game feel is straight up copied from deepwoken (using the exact same sfx and certain animations)
adding that all the other issues people are facing just makes it “cheapwoken”
is the game fun for solo? no
is the game balanced? not even close
many qol and noticeable fun features? no
if I’m being honest deepwoken is one of the “i’ve given too many games chances with this” examples.
Deepwoken does the same shit, you join, “hey pay 200 robux for to gamble races!!!” shoved in your face, and then you get on with the game.

aside from being a PvP permadeath trashheap, the gambling being shoved in my face is one of the many reasons I shit on deepwoken about every time its brought up (people hype it way too much, it is NOT that good… or well designed at all!)

To be fair Deepwoken didn’t exactly do races in a way where I need to think much about it, the races are hardly something i consider when i play the game
imo deepwoken is a well done game, it sucks that its target audience is more for sweaty players and nt casuals

Deepwoken’s target audience is probably one of the most toxic shitshows that exist on this platform solely thanks to the addition of PvP permadeath (who thought this was a good idea???)
No it’s an MMO which contains pvp, it isn’t centered around pvp. They only started testing pvp before initial release
Because the game is fun. And they need to make money somehow. Since it literally doesn’t matter what race you get it’s fine if they can make some money from it
The parrying was something new, old deepwoken was more about exploration

Much in the same way that AO isn’t a PvP game but you get forced into unwelcome encounters at random that actively make you enjoy the game less.
(developers, stop adding PvP as an afterthought, please)

When I say deepwoken is designed terribly I’m referring to the horribly thought out mechanics that exclusively make the game less fun.
