It’s not though. Deepwoken has different stat progression, Rune slayer is an MMO with stat progression based on leveling your class and crafting gear. They have different styles when it comes to monsters

There’s only so much you can do to not get called a “whatever” copy. if thats the case everything has copied everything at some point

okay then let me rephrase that, rune slayer is just a crappy game

the core combat plays the same though, m1 m1 r crit parry roll as your main tools

except it feels vastly less polished

i’m not gonna defend the game anymore, i feel like this is just gonna keep going for 1000+ messages, i’m gonna go play rune slayer, and you guys can go play whatever you want, there’s honestly no point to this anymore

sorry, it just feels upsetting because ive played deepwoken and rune slayer and they feel different to me. it feels upsetting for it just getting called a really bad cash grabby worse deepwoken when it really doesn’t feel like that at all

its supposed to be rogue lineages tundra but different. rogue lineage tundra, you pay some silver to open the gate and you go in, the minute ur in, you’re character will start to freeze and you need to find a campfire. Here you’re character will start to heat up and you need to find volcanic ice respite.

Im lvl 34 so i enjoyed the game and found it relatively fair up until this point. but the devs clearly knew what they were doing placing an imp with ragdolling attacks on this thin piece of parkour, decided to not play this section of the game and said “fuck it, players can just block parry and dodge”

the templar knights on this game are evil. they charge u 5 silver just to open the gate and die each time

Honestly no clue (it was like that in testing as well).

my guess is because later in the game you get money really easily, so its better to get them progressively rather than just buy like 100 all at once

You’re writing the game off as a cash grab because the developers chose race rerolls as the way they wanted to monetize their game? You literally don’t need a rarer race :sob: I’d understand if your criticism was the game’s combat was bad, the mobs are too hard, etc, but you choose the pay to win angle??

I’m not going to take your point seriously if you can’t be bothered to play past the tutorial because you’re broke with no Robux to spend for Half Golem :wilted_flower:

i dont rlly care about the race reroll system too much except for the fact that orc is so ugly and non human looking that its impossible to make it look good especially with the extremely poor customization system

my main gripes are with the combat, and particularly because the movement is god awful. it feels like every surface has ungodly amounts of friction and you really just can’t escape some fights, and trying to build distance is just genuinely not an effective strategy, which really sucks as a mage

this style of combat just outright dont work unless your movement system is also smooth and fluid, which is just not the case

There is something mage gets later to help, but yea, rn I’ve got -15% movement speed and -10% of that is permanent

yeah im gonna be real im fairly certain by the time i get to that point my experience will take like one step forward 15 steps back

I am. Reason is (likely) because it was barely being tested before release (because they were focusing on other stuff)

im so pressed about that. the lvl 31+ upwards grind involves fighting the most horribly unbalanced mobs known to man. the late game grind is so fucking bad and the classes are so unbalanced yet they want to add a “PVP focused update”. Like, why? how is this priority? id be fine with it if the games progression was fine but its not.
