I’m not entirely sure if this counts since we don’t really know anything at all about Wotan or the Keraxe kingdom, but I decided to write a story about how I imagine Wotan and his sons, specifically his fifth son.
I should note a couple of things though; first of all, I personally headcanon that “Wotan” is just the name outsiders of the Keraxe Kingdom use to refer to him as, as Odin in mythology has over 170 god damn names. Though, I still tried to go in the direction of not calling the characters by their most well-known name, as with Hlorrithi and Gullintanni (Though couldn’t really find any other names for Baldr, Viðarr, and Höðr that wasn’t just an anglicized version of their name).
Additionally, I tried to write it in the style of a poem in the Poetic Edda, which means I also tried to include ‘kennings’, which is kind of like a poetic way of referring to something (for example, “battle-sweat” is a kenning for blood, and “bane of wood” is a kenning for fire)
Anyway, enough of my ramblings, here’s the Saga of Balder the ‘Peaceful’
