I’d imagine that second awakening for Warlocks (and other hybrids in general) may be an “inverted imbue,” where you can put your fighting style into your magic and so on. Probably. In doing so, their ranged aspect could be improved in certain ways, but not recursively because the balance of the game may take a while and recursive effects would be also incredibly difficult.

Especially as bars like Thermo going up when you do anything related to the fighting style’s charging requirements would make more sense if the fighting style was part of your magic, imbue-wise, rather than the original way around only.

Warlords making the same sweeping motions their weapons require in their fighting styles may make a unique form of said style, getting their own power from how they use those weapons with skill and strength, for example, with reverse imbues…

Though, what would be fun is if you could make imbues be attached to spells/skills, not just all or nothing, in case we do end up getting more spell or style slots - since some cases, a Selino may do better in Metal, for example, but I digress.

ok new second awakening name for warlord
War Lort

Warlord awakening name idea: Marshal Prowess
Or something idk. Not sure what the awakening would do though… maybe when charging attacks, if you release the attack within a certain time frame before you’re hit, you can parry and counter boost your attack? Maybe with a short CD. Every person’s timing is gonna be varied anyways due to different stats or shapes.

Retaliate if it was good:

warlock: elemental embodiment
you gain a passive related to your magic such as
lava/ice making platforms atop water they touch (they can dive into water by holding flaunt on their platform)
wind taking less damage from tornadoes and whirlpools being easier to escape
water having longer underwater breathing
dark/light having better vision in darkness/abyssal diving structures

y’know that kinda stuff. with the reasoning being something along the lines of all the imbuing you’re doing starting to have permanent effects on your body

If anything, this makes more sense for mages, especially since the game subtly (not) pushes you to play mage

Would the signature weapons just be artisan weapons?

I don’t know, probably

artisan weapons got replaced with reforged weapons

I mean lore wise, anyone who can use magic is regarded as a mage
