Currently, it isn’t possible to prove that an old boot was owned by anyone specific, since it isn’t shown in the item description like it is with the sword.

I can confirm the data is being stored, I’ve seen first hand how they stack, and boots from different players don’t stack. The only ways to verify it would be to have someone access the raw item data, or get the original owner to make a statement verifying it is in fact their boots.
