Shadow + Basic Combat: Good or Bad?

  • Good, keep going!
  • Eh, not the best, but not the worst.
  • Bad, use a stat reset!

I don’t care how this’ll turn out 'cause I’m still gonna use it, but I just want opinions.

Fellow basic combat enjoyer!
High five!

Always nice to find someone who enjoys simplicity!

the most boring magic plus the most boring fighting style

“throughout heaven and earth, I alone am the boring one.”

Its good, if you’re just trying to be efficient and you think shadows are cool then its a good choice for you.

Just remember…
Be polite,

And have a plan to kill everyone you meet.

That one’s actually kinda funny

mage bettr

how does this contribute to anything related to the topic like at all

i dont know

Then

Why’d you post it

cause yes

I don’t think OP would really appreciate some dumb dumb with nothing of substance and saying something as random as a totally unrelated build being the better option. (which honestly is up for debate because warlock is a solid class in its own right)

It’s pretty fine.

Warlock Imbues

  • Damage: Affinity + 0.075
  • Speed: 1 + (Affinity - 1) / 2 (currently only scales endlag, crash distance, and shockwave delay)
  • Size: Affinity - 0.1

Statistically wise, you have

0.975x damage
1.08x speed
1x size

It’s a net-positive imbuement. You don’t have the speed/DoT of Plasma Thermo nor the crazy AoE/Damage of Magma Leg/Ice Leg but it has good stat efficiency.
One of my characters uses this combination, which is also good for Savant builds.

would shadow basic or shadow thermo be better for a savant build
