Shape preview

You ever tried choosing a cool shape, had to finish editing and then if you didn’t like it come back to the menu and suffer once again? What if you could preview the shape before selecting it?

Crude edit of how it would look, just a model of the shape appearing when you click on it like casting animations. Would save alot of time for mages who really like their shape visuals.

yeah why not

Fun QoL addition why not haha

Good quality of life.

Good QOL, Might be hard to see for some magics like wind though

sounds good

or better, just put the mesh model over player head or something, just like you can see your character does animations

Yeah, it DOES look a little cursed…

Suggestion for more quality: Maybe make it display the shape as clearly as possible through any effects it produces, like a highlight of the shape itself amongst its cloudy effects. This can also just… show the hitbox if it’s just a giant piece of metal or something.

Also, if we’re playing with sliders, it could display the resulting effect with the animation restarting upon release and stopping while the slider is being held. Is that good…?

Might be overkill but as a mage who likes shape options I’d love to see multiple povs of said shape on the spell

what if the preview image just slowly spins lol.

and you can rotate it too?

nice qol chance

I think this should be for all of the options in general. Maybe a little preview even? May ruin a bit of the aspect of experimentation though.

nice ngl make that for strenght embodiments too it would be cool qol

that sounds hard to implement because u cant render particles in viewport frames, aka 3d models in uis, so it’d look weird with non solid magics

they could just show the base model for the shape without any magic effects, should still help people decide

I had to suffer from this so I think this is good.

Would help a lot when deciding cool factor
