very very rarely i use shields in ganks

i tried samerian shield in 1s for a lot of rounds because it fit my outfit and the grab is cool. shield throw needs a buff to make it land more consistent and anyone who uses shields solely for the block power is wack imo

Shields (and bursting enchant on it) should increase the duration where all blocks becomes parry

im not trying to see a change in the meta where any weapon related build is REQUIRED to run a shield at all times just because it makes parrying easier.

I mean shields are kinda useless
Removes an entire weapon slot for smth that can be substituted for blocking power jewels/boxing
I suppose this can give it a bit of a niche

I just use shields for more blocking power, even I dont use weapons stat lol.

Well too bad you now need stat points in weapons to be able to use shields

my ice conjurer has a samerian shield. i don’t pvp on that file, but if i did then i would use it to attack

i don’t think shields gave any block boost without weapons stat even before the recent change

i kinda forget tbh but i think it’s that now you can’t equip a shield if you have don’t have enough weapons stat for it. before, you could as long as your player level was high enough, and if you had any weapon stat at all you would get the block boost, but now you need to actually be able to use the weapon, so you can’t get the boost from a ravenna war shield or something as a 60w savant
