Is it only lost when your ship is sunk, or do you lose whats in it if you leave with items in it too?

Better question, why can’t we just quick load our ships storage and when sinking a ship quick load theirs to ours

i just want to know if im safe to leave and stockpile dark sealed chests over several days of dark sea runs since my ship literally never sinks
never tried logging sorry can’t help. my guess is maybe its like combat logging so hopefully your good to leave if you are not in combat
Far as i know, it’s cleared only when the ship sinks and when you combat log. Otherwise leaving the game doesn’t matter

I’m pretty sure items are only saved to your storage when you travel to a different sea. If you leave the game with things on board they just disappear
