It was but a beautifully lit night on a full moon when he spotted it: A small rodent with a coat of powdery silver that seemed to dance between reality and dimensions. Its fur glimmering into visibility only to fade and vanish from sight as the wind moved each hair.
Woo-Jin at first believed himself to be dreaming. He had to be, for the moon was still looking down upon him and the quiet village, lulling them to sleep in perfect harmony with the whispers of the stream that ran alongside the village. And yet still, as he glanced back from the glistening, blindingly bright moon and back to the illusory figure it remained still.
Working up the courage to approach the creature, Woo-Jin summoned a circle of pale lavender, illuminating the space around him. As if woken from a trance, the shimmering rodent revealed itself briefly as a rabbit, its fur illuminated from the moon’s gaze as it leaped on what appeared to be thin air. With each step, a powdered dust fell to the ground beneath it, trailing behind its little paws as it seemingly faded out of sight.
The dazzling escape left Woo-Jin in awe and wonder as he continued his short way to the spot where he believed to have seen the creature. All that remained of this brief encounter was the lavender-colored powder illuminated by moonlight. He knew what the being whom he had the luck of sighting was, for it was a common story among children. But how would he explain how such an ordinary boy as himself would be so extraordinarily lucky in finding the mythical, even cryptic, Moonlight Rabbit?
Ya, it’s written in a vacuum and the character has no development. Was initially gonna be for the weekly prompt but meh, I’m haply with this
