Races aren’t necessary until you get super into build making, and most of the best ones for new players are the most common ones. If worst comes to worst, you could just try to get gremor because it’s common and has good innate stats.

Yeah that’s why I said wait till conquest. It fixes most of the issues (voidwalkers are countered by hive origin, races become less necessary and so on)
They only matter for certain builds, but since you can get free slots from badges (which have different races) it’s not an issue

Certain races are good to make certain builds yeah but I’d say they’re not too important. I just go a different route if a race cblocked a build I want to make but it doesn’t occur too often.
Unless you’re running a PvPmaxxed build, missing out on 1 or 2 talents isn’t going to make the game unplayable
