Should solid high jumps not create platforms?

When you perform a high jump with a solid magic, such as Iron or Ice, you’ll leave behind a platform that looks similar to a pillar explosion that you can stand on. This sounds useful on paper, but after playing around with Ice for a while it feels pretty useless.

-You don’t have enough time to do anything up there, even charging magic energy requires precise timing without losing height. Anything that you can reliably do up there (attack, do another high jump) is easily possible with non-solid high jumps.
-Lag causes you to fall faster than the platform can finish being created and gain collision, causing you to be stuck in or under the platform.
-High jumps that don’t send you upwards don’t really put you in a reasonable position for the platform. You likely won’t even be using it in a situation where you’d want the platform.

Personally, I think the platforms should be removed. They don’t open up any real tactics, and they can sometimes be more of a hindrance than a benefit. But what do you guys think?

  • Remove High Jump platforms
  • Do not remove High Jump platforms.

It used to last longer, but it was changed to last shorter since people would be able to infinitely high jump into space.

Even if it isn’t as effective with lag, I don’t think that it should be removed entirely since it’d be a tiny nerf to all solid magics and remove one of their unique properties.

Magic platforms aren’t meant to give an advantage. They used to let you charge on them but that was removed by vetex.

This isn’t really a feature worth removing, since its just a small neat little feature for solid magics

I thought solid high jump platform was meant to be cosmetic?
In any case I don’t think it should be removed.

I think that it’d be good to just disable magic charging while standing on the pillar so you can’t inf jump but you can still get other things done, but re-extend the length the pillar stays
