Should Vetex close the game and take more time to devlop it?

Honestly world of magic is gearing up to be the next best roblox game, I just think the current issue with it is vetex has so much ambition, and is trying to give it to us in such little time. There are plenty of issues with the game itself, and I believe we will see more as he slowly releases more content. I think it would be best if he just closed the game, and did things like finish the entire map, and tweak things such as npc scripts, and client side destruction (I think it should be removed but that’s not my choice). Opinions?
Also this is my first post so I don’t know if this is the right category

If it remains open then there will be hundreds of more players playing and finding bugs to help make the game more enjoyable. Plus I believe he can work at the same pace even if it remains open anyhow.

vetex has a testing realm for world of magic up right now, so even if he creates a choppy, bugfilled update for some reason that people think is bad, theres still the testers who would give critique and report bugs. i dont see any reason to close the game really.
plus, vetex is getting donations and whatnot because of the release.

last and the most important point though. imagine the sheer amount of backlash that vetex will end up receiving if he closed the game again.

Short answer: No. Closing the game 30 hours after release wouldn’t make sense, especially since there are 10k+ players online rn, with the hypes still going.

Finishing the map could take months, considering not even half of the map is finished. Plus, what’s the point of building the entire map if there are no NPC’s to work with and the max level is 60? We can’t even use the flight ability or horses. This would make travel ridiculously hard.

Even if he did enable horses and the flight ability, creating the whole map with not enough content (NPC’s, quests, etc) still wouldn’t make sense.

Vetex is already working his butt off on fixing bugs, he just released a tweet on Twitter that has lots of changelogs. Go check it out

I wouldn’t say vetex has much ambition as you say he does, considering this game has been in development for a year already. In addition, he has had the planned release date for quite some time. Vetex has a planned roadmap on the trello, I suggest you check it out.

I’ve been watching the road map. I’ve been here since the first test. I got high hopes I just don’t want him try and take on to much.

definitely not. i think vetex should keep the game open so people can enjoy it as is and help contribute ideas

They should’ve pushed the release date back to ensure the game is a little more “fleshed out” and to fix the major, obvious bugs. However, It’s understandable why they released it now due to the games release already being delayed by months.

They wouldn’t be able to reclose the game now as it would just destroy the fan base.

I feel like it’s better for the game to be open rather than closed in this case, because if you don’t like the game, you can just, shocker, not play it.

While the early stages may leave people with a sour taste, it’s fine because for every person who hates the game, I’ve seen ten more who love it.

Yeah, I do think the game should be shut down for more development but the angry mob of desperate players won’t be happy with that

I don’t think so. I think the map is large enough as is. I think there’s plenty of content to have people busy for awhile

People will most likely get angry that vetex made a stupid choice by leaving many people unable to find more bugs and help him. Making a game closed doesn’t affect development, which should be obvious.

I mean if he shuts the game down then people can’t help find bugs, also a lot of people would get upset since he said the game is “released”. Closing it down would make people get really mad at him and he’d probably have to shut the discord server down again.

I believe we got enough content already and bugs are honestly easy to avoid especially after the patch. People could always get bored of wom before it gets more content and potentially never come back, but I still think leaving the game open won’t cause much problems at all.
Also this is roblox, ALL the games are in constant development and most of them are what we could call beta, the only recent roblox game that i know that actually reached an end was Entry Point. It’s clearly not a rare thing to see a game in such early stage available to public.
