So, I’m the proud owner of a max knockback musgravite wind mage build. The knockback is fun, and I kinda built the entire character around them preferring to just fling people away instead of killing people.
But mage is just so darn boring. Zoning is just so boring.
So I was thinking about swapping over the file to a wind boxing warlock, with my reasoning being:
Rushdown classes are more interesting in my opinion
The attackspeed from theurgist should synergise pretty well with boxing and wind’s already good speed
The knockback from boxing and speed should stack, so I would get even more knockback than I already have (and I get access to better grabs, the knockback of which you can’t cancel using moves)
Although I do have a few concerns such as
What if the knockback stacking with wind and boxing just doesn’t work, and one overwrites the other.
I want to still have javelin (really funny with knockback), but that would require 150 magic, so I’d only have 130 strength, so I wouldn’t be able to use selino.
In full release I really want to use nebula with this file, but that’s 200 magic, which would mean basically neglecting strength (if the full release level cap is 170. )
So you wanna play rushdown while continuously knocking back people?
I think warlock is the worst class for wind, i think the other hybrid classes would be more intresting, such as paladin in full release which has a lot of gimmicks.
Personally between warlock and mage, mage is better.
Well in that case go for it, juggle your enemies around the entire warseas.
Tho i still think paladin could be funnier tho we’ll have to wait and see. (Imagine wind imbued spirit rain)
I mean, I’d just be using the max knockback set that I already have (although I would have to swap out my explosive explosion bracelet for something else, maybe the blasted aereus hat)
but thank you for the offer anyways
Yeah I think the way to get it now is full explosive theurgist with knockback musgravites, and then I believe explosive archaic explosion arcsphere.
although for full release, it’s better to run powerful theurgist and something that just gives a bunch of power, since size won’t increase knockback anymore, and more power will allow you to reach the “higher knockback” threshold more easily (very low damage skills do less knockback)
So it looks like I’ll be switching to warlock and I’ll be running 150 mag/ 130 strength
thank you all for voting :3
are you sure? because searching for knockback in the full release patchnotes it’s only about wind imbued into weapons, not fighting styles
but in 1.13.84 it says
[Fixed] Imbued Wind Magic doesn’t add knockback to Boxing.
