Singular Magic or Singular Fighting Style awakening

I’ve been thinking about a few things, So far my favourite 2 classes are Mage & Berserker, or whatever their titles are now. I love pure-stat type builds.

Although trying both classes. Mage with multiple different types of magic, berserker with multiple combinations of magics and fighting styles, I wonder why there isn’t an option to have a singular magic or fighting style at the power of 2. I would love to just have a single magic but extra strong instead of 1 normal and 1 weak magic.

I came up with a simple idea:

  • Warriors Mastery/Mage’s Master:
Instead of learning and unlocking a second magic/fighting style, you become more efficient in your first and only magic/fighting style, gaining more spell/move slots and slight buffs to your current magic/fighting style.

I dont know how to balance this exactly, but this is the general idea. More spell slots and it being stronger than someone without this awakening’s Fighting Style/Magic.

Thoughts?

A) horror to balance

B) that’s called a mutation

C) lost and ancient magics

D) i am sorry for using shakespearean english

Arent Mutations, litterall mutations? This is just like a mage focussing on a singular magic to master/learn? Mutations are rare types of stuff that happen in the darksea.

i’d definitely do this if it was an option, but this does sound like it could easily be overpowered with just a stat stick

Can’t you already run the same fighting style twice

At least basic lets you do that

Never tried that, but even then, It’d just be 2 ends of the same stick without purpose. :sob:

What’s stat stick if I may ask?

something powerful just because it has really strong stats

I feel like this would fall into the same issue as (early access) warrior’s awakening (i.e being a free stat buff with zero real drawbacks)
