Unlike the atlanteans where we see some sort of connection between the pollution, there is nothing confirmed nor is there any lore that can be found about them in-game except for maybe a few ghost lines telling you to watch out.
In the Odyssey (from Greek mythology) sirens are creatures that lured Odysseus and his crew from their path.
But I could not find an explanation to why sirens exist in the AU, how they came to exist and why they have certain traits, like wearing the golden armbands and bracelets and why they fly around instead of shooting from the ground.
There are just so many unanswered questions I have regarding sirens. Now I could either have missed some details or it’s literally blank. This topic can either serve as a discussion or to help me find the missing pieces in the lore I got.
i asked the same question a while ago and came to the conclusion that they are just the OG sirens from the greek mytho, albeit with slight variations due to either game logic or magic pollution
sirens are not real? And they are in insanity range because they are hallucinations.
Think about it, they are pretty strange creatures. A not mutated WOMEN AND ONLY WOMEN who can somehow change appearances.

it’s just sirens from greek mythology, only thing different about them is that they’re likely influenced by the rain in the dark seas. i doubt there’s any actual lore behind them other than what’s from the myths
maybe they just figured out “hey i can catch prey better if i sing in a place where people think there are no safe havens”, got that natural selection ahh mindset
