This concept is somewhat similar to insanity but a bit more dangerous,
Violet vision is when your insanity goes above insanity 3, making the player’s vision difficult to see people, their items, and everything around them, The only thing they can see is a silhouette of themself and their own head shaking like they are possessed, and more allusions cover their POV one of the allusions is a myriad of violet-eyed spirits floating around the player and whispering to the player.
The player’s eyes can also be seen glowing purple from another person’s POV, thus the name Violet vision, and yes the other person’s POV also shows the player shaking their head violently, What makes this dangerous is if the player doesn’t eat a pie or a potion that reduces their insanity it will cause them to not only die but lose their items, every single of their items out of insanity.
yeah, that’s it didn’t think of anything else there, There might be some flaws I didn’t notice but look, it’s a concept I thought of, It does have some of the effects insanity 3 does too just so you know, because I think I forgot to write that down.
Wonderful, yet another suggestion outside of #suggestions.
And it’s not even one that anyone could like, because it hinders your ability to play the game, comes with a timer on not only dying, but also wiping their inventory. Please, do note how some items (and I am not even talking about seasonals) can only be obtained once (quartermasters and crews, I am talking about those). Oh, and it requires you to have a Warding Potion of some kind, in order to avoid losing literally everything, and if you are a weapon user, and this actually were to remove everything, you’re basically told “No, you don’t get to play the game freely for at least a few minutes, go run around and hope you don’t die while opening chests to get barely survival capable stuff”. Lovely. Note the sarcasm on that one word sentence.
To put it simply… I really don’t like this, at all.
This completely makes anything that makes your insanity go level 3 redundant due to a technical vision loss, which makes your powerful stats absolutely useless because your essentially blind.
It’s like a war veteran cripple with only one hand with only 2 working fingers and no legs given a m60 machine gun.
anyways no, no point in losing all of your items considering all the shit we have to deal with beyond Insanity 3 depth, it’s just unnecessary difficulty
