Daily quests are a cool system but I thought up an idea that (in my opinion) makes them cooler and more immersive.

Rather than simply being a gameplay UI, they could be formatted like an actual quest board where you can select 2 quests from a board of 6 to take on. Rather than just being like “Dig up 6 treasure spots” “Kill 2 criminals” and stuff like that, they would actually have flavor text defining what the job is and why it needs to be done. It could be like “A recently apprehended pirate captain has stated he hid all of his treasure so that the navy couldn’t retrieve it, try to find it by digging up 6 treasure spots.” or “Crime rates have been on the rise as of lately, defeat 2 criminals to send a message.” Just stuff like that.

Weekly quests could either work the same way or they could be like “Important” quests and work how they currently work just with flavor text, though weekly flavor text could be more important. A comparison could be like, a daily quest to hunt animals would say something like “A party is being hosted and they need meat for the festivities, go hunt 4 animals.” whereas a weekly would be more drastic like “Animal populations have been on the rise as of late, go hunt 22 animals to thin down their numbers before they cause problems.”

Very low priority change but yeah I just thought this would be cool, they could also introduce a new faction that gives out these quests and rewards if they really wanted to. Also during these quests there could be potentially modifiers to the game like increased criminal/animal spawns, more common charts, faster tower constructions and spawn rates, etc.
