(something winged humanoid pvp rpg): Thoughts?

i made it powerful but the tradeoff is that they cant make shields (irl u cant make a shield made out of fire, unless lorewise the fire isnt pure (has a bit of raw mana) and i havent decided that)

no, just an early combat mock test

FINAL VOTE
After talking with a few other people, we decided that most of these names were mid. However, the only names that weren’t mid didn’t win the other poll.

  • Winged Warriors
  • Fight or Flight

(im biased against Avian Legends name cuz it wouldnt make sense)

Was this actually a contender for a name?
It sounds like the great value version of winged warriors

yes, but the forum voted some other name option

if that’s the case, then flying farts with flappy parts is the exclusive collectors limited edition over 100k USD premium deluxe experience elite

random idea i had but also happy 1 year anniversary for this post

relative velocity

your flying speed will be added to your projectile speed

example:

youre flying at 150 speed (studs per second). your water magic ball normally travels at 200 speed. if you’re flying at 150 speed and you cast the water magic ball in the same direction you’re flying, the ball will travel at 350 speed.

there MIGHT also be damage scaling from this (f = ma). fire, lightning, and equinox can’t benefit from this damage scaling.

would this be a good idea (i will still probably add)
  • yes (both speed and damage scaling/increase)
  • yes (speed scaling only)
  • no
  • maybe (some other modifier to make this balanced or whatever)

note that for yes (both speed and damage scaling), fire, lightning, and equinox would be buffed

If the speed of the projectile doesn’t depend on how fast the shooter is moving, then retreating while attacking is just gonna be way stronger than pursuing while attacking, because for the pursuer, the attack would be coming at them faster than normal, and attacks would seem to be coming at the retreater slower than normal. However, if the speed of the projectile does depend on the shooter, then they shouldn’t be able to change directions instantly, they should have to take time to accelerate

gg, ez.
