Sonya Rasputin(a character i created)

“Who is Sonya Rasputin?”, you might ask. Well, it’s said that Sonya is the result of one of Grigory Rasputin’s affairs; at least, it’s the only way to explain her snow magic powers. After she was born, her mother left her to die in the Russian taiga, but she managed to survive because her magic made her immune to the cold. Eventually, she made her way back to St. Petersburg. And there she lived on the streets for most of her childhood, stealing and begging just to scrape by.

Eventually, she was caught stealing bread from a market and she was pursued by police. When she was cornered, she held her hand out in desperation…

…and a cold blast of ice released from her hand and struck one of the guards, knocking him unconscious. For the first time, she realized that she was a wizard.

Unfortunately for her, the spell drained a great deal of energy and she passed out. When she woke up, she found herself in a sort of interrogation room. She was sat before a table, to which she was handcuffed. Sitting in front of her was none other than Joseph Stalin. Stalin had heard reports of this girl, who was, for some reason, not on any government records, and knew she had magical powers. Normally she would be shot on charges of thievery and of murdering an officer of the law, but Stalin figured that her magical powers could be of use to the Soviet government. So Stalin offered the girl a choice: either join the Soviet secret police, or be executed. Of course, the girl chose the former. For the first time in her life, she wasn’t running from the law or living on the streets. Now, she was on a mission to enforce the ideals of the Soviet Union. Stalin even gave the nameless girl a name: Sonya(though she still doesn’t appear on any official records).

And so to this day, Sonya roams the multiverse, slaying the bourgeoisie with her hammer, sickle, and the power of Russian winter.
