The title says it all. Let’s not waste any time and dive deep.
BALLS DEEP.
this is not a suggestion, it’s simply a fun idea I got
Mentality Magic Type Ideas:
Seeing is Believing
This probably doesn’t need much of an explanation. The user would see something and decide if or if not it exists in their mind. Maybe this sounds really broken, but hold on let me cook.
For example, let’s say that the caster of Seeing is Believing is fighting a Crazy Wizard.
The caster would activate it, and now in the casters mind, this Crazy Wizard does not exist. His brain refuses to believe it, and so the crazy wizard cannot attack the caster because the caster refuses to believe of their existence.
The crazy wizard exists, but in the casters mind they don’t, and so therefore on an extreme level the caster is unaffected by anything that the enemy does to them, because in their world, they do not believe the exist. The caster has to see the enemy for it to work.
However, on the flip side, they can believe anything into existence(for them), and it will work on any non-living object.
For example, they can believe that they have a key to your neighbors door, and they will, and they can put this belief into the door that the key will open it, and it will.
Or, it could work on living and non living objects like so:
For example, let’s say the caster believes that AO will come out in 2 days(not a speculation, just an example). They can put that same belief into another person, but they would have to see them in order for it to work.
Ignorance Magic
I got this idea from a recent argument I viewed. Working on a story to summarize it.
Ignorance Magic, like the name suggests, prompts ignorance in a number of people.
The stronger the user, the more ignorance they can spread.
For example:
Let’s say two dudes are having a nice conversation about coffee. I’ll call them Bob and Glen.
Bob says that Cappuccino is better than Americano. Glen says, albeit Cappuccino has its flaws, that some parts are indeed better than the Americano. Bob agrees with Glen and they decide to order a Cappuccino and an Americano.
If Bob, or some random bystander wielded ignorance magic, the outcome would be different. Instead, Bob would find some way to continue the debate, turning it into an argument.
Instead of choosing the reasonable option, Bob would say something like:
“NO, the Cappuccino is better in every way! Praise the Chaos Legion!”
Glen would be incited by Ignorance Magic and would argue further. He may even forget some points that he made to put a neutral stop to the argument.
“How can you say that you stupid piece of trash? Praise the Lord!”
This would continue the argument, and soon it would devolve into a full blown fight, with fists being thrown.
Some may say everyone has Ignorance Magic. But Ignorance Magic is the embodiment of Ignorance, turning anyone that is reasonable into a hateful, scornful, contemptful sumbitch.
Ignorance Magic can be used on the user to make them ignore other magic effects. However, it doesn’t have the same effect as seeing is believing, as the user would still be taking damage, but would ignore the aftermath of that damage to continue fighting.
Ignorance Magic can turn into Chaos Magic with enough strength.
Chaos Magic
Chaos Magic is evolution(or devolution, depending on perspective) of Ignorance Magic.
Simply put, Chaos Magic causes pandemonium on an unnatural level. It will find a way to create some sort of horrible event somehow, that can change the lives of anyone affected by it forever.
It has a short range, maybe 10 feet long and wide? Despite its short range, the chaos caused within this range has the potential to spread far, far from where it was created. It all starts with Ignorance Magic, and then Chaos will come in, fully blowing everything out of proportion.
It might even grant the subjects magic in order to cause even more chaos(if they did not have magic before).
Feedback appreciated. If you’ve got any other good ideas, let me know, I’d like to view them as well.
