Yeah Calvus also has lingering death magic from his grandfather you can see it in his attacks phase two (especially the powered up placed explosion) it’s the “grandfathers power” he mentions.
Ofc Calvus doesn’t have the curse but curse powers stay in the bloodline growing weaker for at least 2 generations.

I feel like the first attack (while it was still Winterveil) was from the death curse, and the second event that ravaged it the second time was chaos, since that’s what chaos does. There must’ve been extreme corruption to cause it to go there.
No it is definitely death. We have seen it both in Morden (curse user), and passed down to Calvus by his bloodline (he uses it in some of his attacks)
