Starter best stat builds

In my opinion (and i want others opinions too) i want to rank stat builds for starters

Pure Builds: for pure builds i would say Vitality IF soul weapons were out on release, why vitality, health, lets you live longer, new people would die easier. if soul weapons arn’t out, i would rank the other stat builds equal, as maybe someone knows what they want to do. if they know they want melee rushdown strength, weapons for balenced, magic for mostly range. i am also gonna count savant 25% splits here for people who have no clue what to do

Hybrids: Best hybrid for starters would be likely be vitality weapons (warden?) because again vitality, future soul weapons if they like the build, weapons will have the most variety at the start as there are many combinations, again weapons are balanced, hp, you can get sunken sword easier unlike magic or fighting styles needing lost stuff, and weapons will be more common. other vitality splits are fine too but weapons will be better, but again they may know what they want

Cons: Weapons are going to be interchanged every major update to get stronger gear, Vitality will likely get useless at a point where the new player figures things out.

Pros: everything i listed but also might ease players into the game as the tutorial may suck, you can reset stats with something but we don’t know

mages > everything else

Wardens gonna be the shittiest on release

Oh cool, you have some more health, what a shame you fucking use it to attack

how would wardens even fight like…

Warden stat build’s won’t be in the game until vetex adds spirit weapons in a future update (people attempting to put too many stats in vitality will be prevented from doing so)

Knight*

if you need vitality to continue existing…

magic is for nerds

Thanks for re-iterating how I am simply smarter than you :face_with_monocle:

It really depends on playstyle

For a new player starting out I genuinely think mage would probably be the best option, for the sole reason that it’s ranged based and doesn’t have too many up close moves

Personally I think the warrior class will be the best for a starter. Its very simple for a starter to see that they can pick a gun and a bow if they want more range compared to a sword and hammer, or be able to adjust to the weapon types they feel comfortable with.

I think a starter being able to change their moveset to what they are more comfortable with at any given moment should be very helpful for them.
Only main downside I see for weapons and starters is having to find every weapon for the moves they want, but I think they should just get the weapons over time, and even then while this is a downside it also could be seen as an upside because weapons players could be slowly introduced to each weapon type

mad cuz you don’t get blast shape options upon release :pensive:

Also mages in question spamming the magic blast move

“yeah I play mage how could you tell?”

Q

If you have a blast move on anything but Q
You are commiting a warcrime

yeah Q is like the only button that is reserved specifically for blast spells.

I really wish blocking had a keybind option ngl, G is so fucking obnoxious and way too far for comfort
