I’ve already made a crystal conjurer, now I want to make a crystal warlock build, so that I can test it and see if I like it more.
Once alchemy comes out, I’ll respec the one I like less into a different class build.
I plan on using iron leg, for the great synergy with crystal magic that it has.
So what stat spread should I go for? Snare + shot warlock? Focus spell warlock? Aura Warlock? Will my magic power effect M1 damage here, just as it does with conjurer?
Give me some good reasons to pick a certain stat spread over the alternatives.
making distance as a warlock is counter productive, whatever you do dont go for snare
depends if you want crystal buffs or your fighting styles buffs, pretty sure that focus/aura will affect your magic/fs but i havent tested so im not sure
Stat Change potions do not reset your class. They reset your stat allocation for your class. Once you Awaken, you are whichever class you awakened as permanently. You are still locked into only being able to invest into whatever stats the class is based around.
I have already been a victim of this atrocious build. As of now I believe crystal is the best magic in the game, and when I get killed by a crystal warlock with 1.6k hp and doing 260 damage a hit (pretty sure with shot), does not make it better.
I’m also going to make a crystal warlock as i had planned it for a while, and I hope it is as broken as I describe it cause i have very foggy memories of this.
to be fair if they didn’t let you change your awakening, what would even be the point of having a stat reset potion?
It’d really suck to have to venture deep into the dark seas for rare ingredients because you accidentally misclicked vitality once if that’s all it did lol.
You know how many 150 Magic / 100 Weapon Conjurer builds are out there right now? Two buddies of mine made their WoM files with that exact spread in mind only for them to recognize they’re locked out from the majority of decent weapon abilities in the game rn. Many other cases, they’d still be incredibly useful with that in mind.
There’s also a lot of 150 Magic / 100 Strength Warlocks, and 120 Strength / 130 Weapons Warlords out there that could use the reset for better or more optimal investment.
what I’m saying is that I remember hearing they require dark sea exclusive rare ingredients.
it’d really suck if changing your stat spread was all it did for all that effort.
a small mistake like that should be fixed with a much easier recipe.
It’d still be worth, just less so. I’m really happy about hearing that Vet changed his mind and it actually resets Awakenings, don’t get me wrong, was just tryna say that even if they’re rare they’d still serve a purpose as far as fixing messy stat allocation goes. Right now your only option is to wait until the level cap increases, yk
when they properly release, my first goal will be convincing everybody to let stat reset potions also change magics since that’ll be the very last thing stopping a player from truly changing their entire build on a file.
I mean cmon, why should weapons and fighting styles get to change around on a whim while magics can’t change at all.
You know, I’m really not sure why Vet seems to be so opposed to this. Make it a hard ass quest. Make it a potion of its own. At least let players have the option. He said he didn’t want people changing their magics based on the current meta, so why can Weapon and Fighting Style users change whenever they’d like to accommodate the current meta?
If we ever get magic changing, it shouldn’t be some casual process someone can go up and do. It should be something amoral, and objectively evil, that permanently effects your character mentally. Like committing a mass genocide on people attuned to the magic you want to change to.
