Stat value balancing

In short stats become weaker the more variety of stats you have.

For example equation x*(1-(y/10) with x being a stat and y being number of stats.

Eg let’s say you have 10 defence and 10 power your 10 power would be equal to a person with only 8 power with no power.

This could only apply to certain stats.

Yeah sure let’s enforce the power-defense meta even more

no
jack of all trades builds are already kinda underwhelming, and making them worse helps nobody

youd fit right in with balancecord (not a compliment, somewhat a joke)

This nerfs regen savants kinda

also balance suggestion

When you think of the word “idea” you’d think of something like new content and not vague balancing suggestions

The only way this would make sense if it only works for multiple high sub stat investments, not all stats.

If it allows for more power and defense scaling, its not a great change as bluefighter stated. Might be a good idea to downscale power/defense based off how much of the stat is actively used in a build; such as making 200 power and 1000 defense only deal around ten to twelve percent more damage compared to a set of gear with 160 power and 800 defense (devs fix the damn stat curves already) to counter.

As far as endgame balancing goes (around level 600), this would be a needed addition as far as substats go for some builds*, because we will most likely have 100% extra regen with 100% size and 80% dex. Anyone reading this should know how cancerous that will be, especially with endgame content on top.

*this won’t be a problem with all builds, just some that will most likely be endgame ‘meta’.

Keep working on this idea, might be needed in the future if people minmax the gear stat curves for the best stats possible.
