Recently I read this forum post from Vetex, and I’ve also been observing the drama that’s happening across servers since the patch update. and many of them have changed my perspective of the community and the development.
I honestly think that we as a community should consider a few things before blaming/lashing at Vetex
Sure I’m not saying that Vetex is 100% perfect/correct , but for a solo dev he is trying his best out here. You could argue against it in many ways, pointing out even the smallest mistakes but he is a human for god’s sake
Please give this man a damn break, I understand that from a communities’ perspective we think and see different then that of a dev or any higher up but that’s not an excuse to attack these individuals.
So stop attacking the testers, stop attacking the balance team and stop attacking Vetex.
Because despite everything, Arcane Odyssey is still a well crafted and unique game built on Roblox which is not gonna die out any time soon.
So my request, Just take a break from the game. play some other game. Maybe even hop off Roblox and play something else or even take up some other hobby.
The more we attack Vetex, the balancers and testers the more they will move away from communication. and IMO that’s the biggest problem with our community overall.
I actually liked it when Vetex came out explaining about why he delayed alignment and changed to weapon skill and spirit weapons as it helps the community gain insight on what’s going on with the development.
So please, don’t force any of these people away from the community anymore. It only causes unnecessary troubles and problems which we can avoid VERY easily.
and for Vetex, PLEASE talk with the community more. I understand how annoying it can be to deal with people constantly complaining. But I’m sure that with a bit more proper communication we can establish a mutual understanding or at least anything close to it.
Instead of using forums, maybe keep a dev channel in the main server where you just talk about some of the problems your facing or having with the community. It would reach a lot more people and change their perspective. which should in-turn help us connect more.
