So, there are plenty of story quests with combat encounters that can’t be done again. There are also boss mirages, which can get in the way of just observing cool scenery or going places and stuff. Therefore, I propose getting rid of mirages and adding a story quest replay button.
Details/background on your proposal
I think going to a boss location and instantly having to fight a mirage is stupid, and also there are loads of things that can only be done once. So I think mirages should be flat out removed and they should add the option to replay a quest by going to it in the quests menu. Idk if that’s what I’m meant to say here, this is my first time lol
Reason to add/change
This would allow for players to, for instance, go into the loot room in the oversized brig without having to fight Maria, or being able to chill at Djin Ruins without getting ganked by Elius. It would also allow, if you want to, to be able to rebattle Shura, Revon, minor NPCs, or see cutscenes again to see if you missed anything major. It would just be a general convenience, and I hope it is considered.
I think this would make farming bosses more tedious, needing to switch the story state back and forth, but I am not opposed to the idea of being able to replay parts of the story to see if you missed any temporarily available dialogue, or use Revon as a test dummy.
I like the idea, just that this should be a switch, specially because the function of Mirage bosses is to make easy farm, that’s why they respawn in one minute. No one wants to take in a cutscene that they have already watched and remember clearly.
I don’t think that would be sufficient, characters like Ruby Roger show up at different places based on story progress, a simple log of dialogue wouldn’t cover that kind of thing.
Another thing to consider: How would the Elius choice be handled in this story replay mode?
