I recently got back into the game and now I’m hearing about strength weapons. I took time to build up a warlord class and I was thinking it would be really cool to have like a gun strength weapon since the only real strength weapons were just absurdly large melee weapons.
Proposal
Details/background on your proposal
Being based off historical gatling guns, existing around the same commonly seen muskets were still used, the design would be reminiscent but more portable if that makes sense. More or less just imagine the image below, except not on a wheeled mount. There would be an old hand crank to stir up the weapon and begin firing.
It would be neat if when combined with thermo fist the weapon’s barrel begins to overheat and glow and such. As for specific moves, I feel like at least one attack can and fill in a niche barrage move type akin to a mix of mage’s multi-projectiles attacks and dual flintlock’s rapid fire.
Reason to add/change
I think it would spice up the game and give the warlord/savant class some more dedicated options for specific builds. Additionally, I had noticed that these classes severely lacked the ranged barrage option that magic-focused builds had. Which was an incredibly powerful trade in PVE when it came to mobility vs DPS.
idk if you’re trying to help but adamance isn’t really what I’m looking for here. You’re okay to disagree but I really just want to hulk around a massive heavy gun on my back that also-so-happens to fit my build type cause that just sounds cooler than a bow and flintlocks.
Imma give 4 for reasonability. Not because its bad, but because for me its better to be boat attachment instead. I mean we can have different strength ranged weapon or something
I hate to be that naysayer, but… Do we really need another gun? Muskets and pistols are already a bit OP, so adding a literal minigun seems… Very unbalanced.
I dont see why expanding on a weapon archetype would be a bad idea. I am against a something like rapid fire flintlock too but that’s not what this request is, and expecting it to be inherently unbalanced isnt really a fair judgement either in my opinion
we could just have limitation to it, like it takes up stamina to carry so you need more points in strength, dmg is low, and the accuracy/recoil is like in CSGO. also are we introducing gatling guns before introducing even a simple revolver? the gatling gun would need proper ammunition, as in cased bullets. which from what i know there are none so far, correct me if im wrong.
