Wtf why? I get the point is to make the quality of suggestions higher but they’re all just kinda abysmal forumslop anyway. Like i cant find one thats on average higher than a 3.5, and when there is, its one that is something everyone and their mom has already suggested or talked about. Besides nobody reads this crap?? Whats the point?? Having member should already be enough

The devs only want suggestions that meet specific standards and requirements. Many people don’t care about those requirements, so having an application for it actually makes people need to think their suggestions through and have them be actually high effort or good quality

Last time when everyone who applied for suggestor was accepted regardless of their suggestions, we got a suggestion that intended for mage’s second awakening to combine their magics by inflicting both status effects and make the stats by taking the higher value
They said that balancing would be needed, stating fire and ash mages as their proof
Meanwhile, literally everyone who read the suggestion realized it was calling for, intentionally or not, a metal-light mage meta
So yes, requirements are needed
And there is a fair bit of good and original suggestions that don’t get nearly enough votes for their quality, you just gotta look for a few seconds
the average suggestion is beetwen “pls vetex change this thing that i dont like” and “pls vetex add this whole work okay? thanks”
in this case, i wonder what are vetex standarts to take a suggestion in count (step 1.- pay his patreon

we should really stop using “Xslop” as a term like it means something, what is this even supposed to mean.
I’d also like to point out that a lot of the current suggestions are written by people who were mass accepted with the only requirement being that they asked, so this ‘forumslop’ is essentially the result of everyone having suggester access lol.
The only reason its stopped is because it looks like it’ll probably not be complete ass post full release (mostly thanks to bug fixes and sensing).

Nah not really. I mean think abt it like this, why would someone even bother spitballing a suggestion if you have to literally be manually approved for them. If anything its preventing more ideas to get out there. And i think the way we handle bad ones right now is fine enough. Like ignore it and move past it, but i think thats hard for the 12 year olds here, so ignore what i said there ig
I think we all have to come to terms that it will always be slop, but I don’t think anyone should be limited to posting slop. Gems will always outweigh coal, and it’s not really that hard to find a good suggestion. Just look at the high stars bro

There are people to whom the ability to do something is enough of a reason. If this logic of yours works so well, why are there so many “bad” suggestions? If this logic was true, then there would be no bad ideas in suggestions whatsoever. Yet, according to you, there are plenty.
Just apply bro, if you got at least 2 good suggestions, it shouldn’t be an issue, and if you don’t, you shouldn’t have suggestor anyways.

Exactly; if suggestions at this level are the ones that pass as being “high quality”, imagine how much worse it would get without a filtration system
I mean quite frankly we also have to consider unfiltered access was how long ago? The community is pretty young. If theres people who are like 15 right now that makes sense why their suggestions would be pretty mid even a year or two ago.
Even if its bad i think its worth it, like to submit one suggestion you have to make two? Who wants to bother with that? Only the most boring, monotone people will actually want to follow through with that bureaucracy
A couple months. Quite recently.
Almost everyone you see posting suggestions actively right now are the people who were given access with no filtration lol.
Hence all of the bad suggestions.
It is genuinely not that much effort.
I guess we just have differing views on the topic then, because I would rather have people need to actually put effort into making suggestions rather than flood the category with low effort, low quality suggestions that are a waste of time to read or discuss

I think the problem with suggestions is the same problem its always been:
Nobody seems to want to be the guy that deals with suggester applications (except me I’d do it gladly).
