Switchbladeadrenaline's collection of goofy Australian place names

I thought it’d be nice to show you some of the best Australian cities, towns and communities with the most well written names. They’re all real, search it up.

Anyways to start off we’ve got:

I’m gonna post more screenshots of names of towns if I deem it suitable enough.

(This is a desperate attempt to revitalize the off-topic section of the forums.)

“The name of the town Eromanga goes back as far as about 1860. The name is thought to have come from an Aboriginal word that means “hot gale plain” or “windy plain”, though the language and dialect is unknown.”

Welp atleast now I know how they got the name.

off topic is DEAD
you cannot do ANYTHING

B-but I don’t really look at any other parts of the forums! There’s nowhere else on the forums (besides art) that I can go! There is absolutely

okay fair enough you get the funny point

I think Australia has lake Disappointment, and I’m really wondering how the Australians know about me
Nah but actually what did the lake do or not do to be called that

They changed the name, sadly.

A city named Eromanga is incredibly ironic in a place like Australia where that stuff is banned.

It’s not though???

Oh by the way, there’s a town called

it was this place the kept the forum alive during those 2(3?) years of no content, do not disrespect it

Damn did I do my job that well I even disappointed them?

We have a village here in Poland named Paryż (Paris)

Lake

There is at least 4 cities in Croatia called Novigrad (New city, literally) and I think also Vrata and Prozor (Door, Window), and Bosnia has some odd names that translate to Grandmother’s butt or, well, testicle (Jajce can also be translated to egg, but is more often used as a name for testicles)

Now that y’all have seen Lake Disappointment, I present to you:

(It’s called Skinny Dipping, mate.)

if we’re talking funny names, why don’t I drop this gem here
